Dunhuang Special Collection‧ |
 |
Although our library does not own any original Dunhuang manuscripts, Dunhuang Studies are well represented in our collection and we maintain a special Dunhuang Studies Area on the 2nd floor.
The Dunhuang manuscripts in Chinese are well published and we own complete sets of most available facsimile editions. There is the Dunhuang Baozang 敦煌寶藏 (台北:新文豐, 1981-1986) in 140 vols, the first print edition done from microfilm of the collections in London, Beijing and Paris. During the last twenty years newer and better facsimile editions of the Chinese texts of all major collections have been published and have become the main reference works for scholars who do not have access to the original manuscripts:
2005-. 150 vols.
1990- 14 vols.
1992-. 17 vols.
1994-, 33 vols.
Next to these facsimile editions our library offers a good collection of secondary material, dictionaries and catalogs related to all aspects of Dunhuang Studies. |
